After nine days, lost cat Urens and his owner, Deydey Rosario, reunited! On October 6, Urens went missing after he escaped through the window and was last seen at Satellite Homes 3 Brgy. San Jose, Dasmariñas, Cavite.
In a previous interview, Deydey’s mother, Marissa Rosario, told WhenInManila.com how persistent his son was in finding Urens, “BFF po ni Deydey si Urens kaya ganun na lang talaga iyak ng anak ko,” she shared.
On October 15, Urens was found after a concerned citizen named Sunshine saw two orange cats in an empty lot in Satellite Homes 2, saying one of the cats responded when called “Urens.”
According to Marissa, Sunshine wasn’t sure if the cat had an “S” mark on his left ear, “Sinubukan niya lapitan para sana i-check yung tenga pero pag palapit na daw po siya tumatakbo na.”
Unfortunately, the cats were nowhere to be found when the mother and son visited the area. Deydey decided to roam again and tried his luck in finding Urens, along with his cousin and playmates.
“Noong nag-iikot po sila may napansin daw po yung mga bata na kulay orange na pusa. Kinabahan daw po si Deydey noong nakita tapos tinawag niya. Noong lumingon po sabi niya daw sa isip niya si Urens na daw po yun,” she said.
Upon checking the “S” mark on his left ear and confirming it was Urens, Deydey and his companions immediately brought him to their house.

Marissa continued, “Kinuha ko po si Urens ayun nagtatatalon ako sa tuwa tapos naiyak na din. Tapos kinuha po ni Deydey si Urens at nilagay po sa kama, dinouble check niya nga po kung si Urens talaga.”
Since Urens lost weight, they brought him to the vet to check his overall health. “Tuloy lang daw po ang vitamins at pakainin po nang pakainin,” she shared.
In her Facebook post, Marissa expressed her gratitude to everyone who helped them find their beloved cat.
“Kaya sa lahat po ng furparents na nawawala ang kanilang alaga na tinuring nilang pamilya, WAG NA WAG PO KAYO SUSUKO AT WAG NA WAG PO KAYONG MAWAWALAN NG PAG-ASA. Magtiwala po kayo kay PAPU at sa inyong pagmamahal sa inyong mga alaga,” [sic] she wrote.
