LOOK: Undisciplined drivers in ‘parking lot’ traffic located in Tandang Sora, Quezon City

Sadly, heavy traffic isn’t anything new in the Philippines. According to Rappler, a study shows that Metro Manila has the third worst traffic in Southeast Asia. We did break another international record, but that’s definitely not something to be proud of.

Louie Morallos captured a photo of the traffic situation located in Tandang Sora just recently. Rush hour traffic is inevitable, but what’s sad to see is how undisciplined the drivers are in this photo. Vehicles are in all sorts of directions wanting to overlap another lane. As a result, we’d have to agree that it does look like a (disorganized) parking lot.

“This situation was really extraordinary,” Morallos tells WHEN IN MANILA. “Given the fact that traffic in Metro Manila has become part of everyday life for most people. It’s an indication that our Government and concerned agencies should take their job seriously in resolving our traffic system. Also, I hope that everyone follows our traffic rules. We also need to display road discipline. If everyone is willing to follow, this extraordinary traffic congestion could possibly not happen again.”
