Lia is a member of Barefoot Philippines, a sector-based organization in the Ateneo that functions in support of UNICEF. Through this organization, she got to meet the members of Katutubo Village, leading her to direct her thesis towards being of service to their community. As the guitarist and lead vocalist of folk-pop band Indayo, Lia began planning a small concert for the benefit of Katutubo Village. All proceeds of this event will be for the implementation and construction of sustainable water pumps in Katutubo Village at Porac, Pampanga, a project being executed by Barefoot Philippines.

Pakundangan will feature performances by Johnoy Danao, Bullet Dumas, Indayo, Syd Hartha, and Escoda, and live art by Reine So, Vernice S. Madrigal, and Victor Mariano.

This live music and arts gig is in partnership with the Aeta Tribe Foundation, Barefoot Philippines, KATRIBU – UP Diliman Chapter, Nature’s Spring Water, WhenInManila.com and The UP Music Circle. Tickets are available via messaging the Pakundangan Facebook event page (https://www.facebook.com/events/2942709579288866/)
