LOOK: This Advocacy Group Needs Your Help to Feed the Strays Amid Quarantine

Pawssion Project, a Bacolod-based advocacy group that helps rescue and rehabilitate animals, is calling for help to sustain its Stray Feeding Program amid the quarantine modification.

In a social media post, Pawssion Project revealed that, after a successful month of operations, it is now struggling to continue its program with the dwindling of supplies and funds. “As much as we would like to continue our Stray Feeding Program, it is becoming a lot more difficult now, not just because of monetary constraints, but also because some of our stray feeders will soon go back to their previous duties before the ECQ was enacted,” it said in a post.

The group shared that supplies cost around PHP 10,000 per stray feeder which is good enough for three weeks and that each feeder gets a personal daily allowance of PHP 300. At present, Pawssion Project only has eight active stray feeders in Bacolod City, Pasig City, Quezon City, Taguig City, Iloilo City, and Cebu City.

Those who would like to make a donation may do so through Pawssion Project’s official Go Fund Me page or through GCash or bank transfer (details here).

Aside from donating to the Stray Feeding Program, you may also help find loving homes or foster homes for the group’s recovering rescues. “The faster we can get them out of the vet clinics, the less accrued vet bills. We’ll then be able to allocate our resources towards other initiatives,” it added.
