Shaina Magdayao was in South Korea for the Busan International Film Festival and she met some of the biggest celebrities there.
Some of the stars she got to meet were Song Kang-ho, who is known for his roles in Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Snowpiercer, and Parasite, and Lee Byung-hun, who has starred in Joint Security Area, Inside Men, and Squid Game.
At the Asia Star Awards, she met Teo Yoo (Past Lives), Choi Soo-young (So I Married the Anti-fan, If You Wish Upon Me, and Not Others), Aelm Thavornsiri (Deep and Hunger), and Awat Ratanapintha (Doi Boy, Girl From Nowhere, and Hormones).

Magdayao was in Busan to represent Essential Truths of the Lake, which is directed by Lav Diaz.
The actress shared photos and videos of her time there. In one post, she wrote, “first time to attend @busanfilmfest with my Producer and short film jury Bianca B to represent our film, @essentialtruthsofthelake 🇵🇭 Sine ni LAV DIAZ 🙏🏻”
On the red carpet, Magdayao wore a beaded serpentine dress by Ehrran Montoya and earrings by JMA Jewelry. She was styled by Adrianne Concepcion and Via. Her glowing skin was made up by CM Medina.

The actress also asked for recommendations for K-dramas and Korean beauty products.
In another post, she wrote, “I have been crushing on Korean dewy/glass skin lately ✨ HOW?! Ang gaganda ng skin nila dito! 😂 Could it be their weather? Air? Food?” Magdayao added, “I’m beginning to get so intrigued with Korean beauty products and their luminous skin!!!! Hahaha Who is familiar with their skincare routine? Share please.”
Essential Truths of the Lake follows Lt. Hermes Papauran as he continues his struggle to find a resolution to a 15-year-old case around a volcanic ash-laden landscape and an impenetrable lake.
