President Rodrigo Duterte took a break with a weekend trip with his long-time partner Honeylet Avancena and their daughter Kitty. They were spotted in Hong Kong over the weekend.
This was confirmed by the post of Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher ‘Bong’ Go on Facebook.
He said, “Bago maunahan pa ng mga fake news, kailangan din magpahinga ng Pangulo.”
Bong even cracked a joke about the president’s choice of color when shopping for clothes.
He said, “Kahit panay ang batikos ng dilawan kay Tatay Digong, nagawa pa niyang pumili ng damit na kulay Yellow!!!”
According to a report from the South China Morning Post (SCMP), the president and his family stayed at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Wan Chai.
The president’s Hong Kong family trip came in the middle of the growing concerns about his health. On Thursday night, he revealed that he spent an hour at the hospital for a check-up and some tests.
Reports say that there is a “growth” found in the president’s digestive tract.
