It’s finally happened: Park Bo-gum has enlisted in the Navy.

His agency, Blossom Entertainment, requested fans to not visit him during his enlistment due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement, they said, “Due to the current pandemic, where everyone should carry out social distancing for the sake of public health, we request that fans do not visit the location and support the star in your thoughts instead. Once again, we emphasize our request for fans to refrain from being present on site in hopes of seeing him off. We request fans to cooperate with us on this for the sake of multiple safety issues.”

Park began service yesterday (August 31) at the Navy Education and Training Command in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province for basic military training before being transferred to the Navy headquarters in Gyeryong. This is to fulfill the mandatory military service of about two years imposed on all able-bodied men in South Korea.

The actor will be in the military until April 2022. We hope we won’t miss him that much, especially since he already finished shooting Record of Youth, so fans can have something while they wait for new content.

Reports say that Netflix will premiere the show this year.
