After four years of doing Ang Probinsyano, Coco Martin couldn’t contain his excitement after being cast in a new romantic comedy film under Star Cinema!
And who is his newest leading lady? None other than Angelica Panganiban.

In a press conference held on Tuesday, December 10, Coco gushed over the new opportunity and getting to act alongside Angelica.
“Kasi bagong kombinasyon, and definitely ‘yung project, ibang iba sa ‘Probinsyano.’ Kasi ang tagal ko na sa ‘Probinsyano’ eh, ngayon excited ako kasi magbabalik ako sa drama and at the same time si Angge, napakagaling na artista sa drama and comedy kaya nakaka-pressure para sa akin,” he said.
(“It’s because it’s a new combination and the project is definitely vastly different from Ang Probinsyano. I’ve been doing Ang Probinsyano for a long time so I’m excited right now because I’m making a return to drama. And at the same time, Angelica is such a great artist in drama and comedy films so it puts a lot of pressure on me.”)
When asked about how she feels being partnered up with Coco, Angelica answered:Â “Siyempre ang tagal natin siyang nakikita sa ‘Probinsyano.’ Nag-‘Probinsyano’ ako pero sandali lang, isang buwan lang, so iba rin ‘yung magiging experience na makagawa ng movie together.”
(“Of course, we’ve watched him on Ang Probinsyano for such a long time. I also did Ang Probinsyano but it was only for a short while, just one month, so doing a movie together is going to be a different experience.”)

Both Coco and Angelica hope that their movie will make it in time for Valentine’s Day next year.
The project, tentatively named “Love Or Money,” will be directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar.
