LOOK: Justin Bieber Responds to Claims He ‘Sexually Assaulted’ A Young Woman

Justin Bieber is the latest male celebrity to be accused of sexual abuse after a woman came forward on Twitter to “expose” him with her story.

Allegedly, the woman, who went by the name Danielle and was 21 years old at the time, met Justin, then aged 20, following his surprise performance at SXSW in Austin, Texas in March 2014. She was then invited over with friends to Four Seasons Hotel, where she claims she was taken to another room and assaulted by Justin.

The tweets have now been deleted and news sites reportedly have not yet been able to reach her for further comments.

However, Justin has since taken to Twitter to respond to the allegations. “I don’t normally address things as I have dealt with random accusations my entire career but after talking with my wife and team I have decided to speak up on an issue tonight,” he said. “Rumors are rumors but sexual abuse is something I don’t take lightly. I wanted to speak out right away but out of respect to so many victims who deal with these issues daily I wanted to make sure I gathered the facts before I made any statement.”

He confirmed that he did perform at SXSW in Austin, Texas on that day but he added that he was with his then-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, and subsequently stayed with her and other friends at an Airbnb, contrary to the claim that he stayed at Four Seasons Hotel. He then shared screenshots of their booking receipt.

He also shared the receipt of his booking at the Westin Hotel the following night after Selena left for work.

When people brought up a tweet from another woman at the time wherein she claimed she spotted Justin at Four Seasons Hotel, Justin clarified he was at the restaurant next to the hotel. The woman who tweeted back then also defended Justin by confirming that she was at the Four Season restaurant.

“We have also confirmed with the Four Seasons regional manager that I was never on property on the 9th of March 2014 and never a guest on the 9th or the 10th and I welcome all press to inquire with them if needed or wanted,” Justin continued.

He ended his string of tweets by saying that it wasn’t his intention to undermine the experience of sexual abuse victims but he needed to speak out to clear his name.

“Every claim of sexual abuse should be taken very seriously and this is why my response was needed,” he said. “However this story is factually impossible and that is why I will be working with twitter and authorities to take legal action.”
