Heads up, “Resident Evil” fans! We’ve finally been given a sneak peek at the new live-action movie featuring some of our favorite cast of characters from the franchise.
The new teaser images of the reboot titled “Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City” shows Claire and Chris Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, Jill Valentine, and Albert Wesker in action as they wander around Racoon City and infiltrate the Spencer Mansion as they face the aftermath of the first zombie T-virus outbreak. It will adapt the plot of the first two “Resident Evil” games and, much to the relief of fans, will not have anything to do with the highly criticized film series that starred Milla Jovovich.
Though it did not show us much about the zombies or the environment that the movie is set in, it did show a picture of one of the most iconic villains in the video game franchise: Lisa Trevor, a girl who had been abducted by the Umbrella Corporation to become a test subject and eventually became a dangerous monster.
The movie is set to premiere on November 24 in theaters.
The official synopsis is as follows:
Returning to the origins of the massively popular RESIDENT EVIL franchise, fan and filmmaker Johannes Roberts brings the games to life for a whole new generation of fans. In RESIDENT EVIL: WELCOME TO RACCOON CITY, once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, a group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.
