Just a day before Mother’s Day, actress and painter Heart Evangelista announced that she is expecting a baby.
She announced the news on an Instagram post, where she is being embraced by her husband, Sen. Francis Escudero, as she is holding a white onesie from a French luxury brand.
Evangelista captioned her post with, “The greatest of blessings all in God’s perfect timing! Our beautiful family just got a little bigger. We can’t wait to meet you little one…”
As of posting, the Instagram post has almost 200,000 likes.
Evangelista and Escudero met when her best friend, the late senator Miriam Defensor Santiago, introduced the two. According to Evangelista in an interview with StarStudio, “I really thought na friendship lang ang meron kami. I thought I found a friend. He wasn’t really showing any hints. I’ve been seeing him almost every day.”
The two officially became a couple in July 2012, and they got married in 2015 in an exclusive ceremony in Balesin Island.
As early as last year, Evangelista has dropped hints on planning a pregnancy, sharing a photo of horse-shaped curios with the caption, “Been collecting curios for my future baby’s room.”
