The year may be a mess but this piece of news is certainly a bright spot, if it is true: Nick Carter and Lance Bass maybe, possibly hinted at a Backstreet Boys and NSYNC collab.

On Instagram, Backstreet Boys member Carter posted a photo with Bass, with the caption, “Working on something big.” He used the hashtags #lancebass #backstreetboys #backstreetboysnsync #nsync #frostedtips #comingsoon.

The Backstreet Boys are made up of Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, and Kevin Richardson. They are considered as the best-selling boy band of all time and one of the best-selling music artists. Some of their hits include “Quit Playing Games (With My Heart),” “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back),” “As Long as You Love Me,” and “Larger Than Life.” Their latest album DNA was released last year.

Meanwhile, NSYNC’s members were Bass, Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Joey Fatone. They are described as “the best boy band of the period late 90s and 2000s” by Entertainment Weekly. They are recognized for their songs “Bye Bye Bye”, “This I Promise You”, “Pop” and “It’s Gonna Be Me.” They last recorded material in 2002 but they make occasional appearances.
