Ever since moving to New York City following her highly publicized breakup with Paolo Contis, LJ Reyes has shared a picture smiling with her two children, Aki and Summer, for the first time on her Instagram account.
The photo showed the three of them dining at a Chinese restaurant as LJ wrote in the caption, “Didn’t want this 點心 kind of day to end.”
It is unclear if LJ had been dining with other people or if she was there with just her kids.
It’s been over a month since LJ flew to the United States with Aki and Summer to stay with her family. She said that her move was to help her “heal” from the heartbreak of her separation from Paolo, whom she had been with for nearly six years. It is still unknown if she will be staying there for good.
LJ has been enjoying her life at her new home, however—from attending the New York Fashion Week to meeting up with the Philippine Consulate General for a secret “exciting project.”
It was early September when LJ confirmed in a tell-all interview with Boy Abunda that she and Paolo have called it quits. Since then, Paolo has been the subject of criticism for admitting to having cheated on LJ during their relationship and for being seen hanging out with his “A Faraway Land” costar Yen Santos in Baguio City at the time that the interview was published. He has already issued a statement clearing Yen for being the alleged third party and assured everyone that they are merely friends.
