When In Manila, we all want to be the best version of ourselves as possible. To achieve this, there are several seminars and workshops we can attend that focus on specific skills or attitudes we need to develop. La Vie Institute offers something similar. They offer a variety of program that will help you explore yourself better and let the beauty within shin.
This month, I along with some friends are set on making a change in our lives… and to do that, we’ll need the help of La Vie Institute. When we first arrived at La Vie for our assessment, I had no expectations. In fact, I was even wondering what the assessment was for. 45min. later, I came out feeling fresh and more excited than ever for what’s to come. So… what exactly happened in that assessment room?
La Vie Institute Personal Assessment and Interview
Before anything else, we were asked for our personal information. Pretty basic thing right? Next, we were given two sets of questionnaires, one was a multiple intelligence test while the other a temperament test. The first part presented a set of questions to figure out what your strength is. There are currently 9 multiple intelligences specifically logical/mathematical, linguistic, musical, bodily kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, visual/spatial, naturalist, and existential. The multiple intelligences is technically how we learn. So if your strength is musical, then you probably learn or do things easier when there is music.
We then answered a temperament test. The 4 different temperaments are melancholic, sanguine, phlegmatic and choleric. The 4 temperaments attempt t describe each one’s overall attitude in our everyday lives. Sanguine people for example are said to be boisterous, bubbly, chatty, openly emotional, social extroverts according to some sources.
The assessment however doesn’t end there. After answering these tests, one of their representatives will meet with you in a room to discuss the results. This is where it gets exciting. As we were talking, I subconsciously started realizing things about myself. Heather, my interviewee, started asking questions that were generally easy but somehow got me thinking. The interview alone helped me understand my strengths and weaknesses a little bit more, further understanding as well what I wanted to get out of this program.
What I really liked about the process is that they just don’t give you a program and schedule to follow, they really take the time to get to know you and understand where you’re coming from. To me, this plays a very big part in the overall success of their program. Moreover, it helps me as a student feel more relax and comfortable as I now know that they understand my story and probably even already know why I am the way I am. After all, you can’t fix a problem if you don’t know what it is right? I very much appreciated that the instructors of La Vie Institute take the time to really get to know their students and find out what they’re working with. I am very excited for what’s to come for us in La Vie Institute. Can’t wait to see Cheryl Golangco version 2.0 soon!
