If you’re planning a trip to South Korea soon, you may want to check out the newly opened Korea Visa Application Center at the Brittany Hotel in Bonifacio Global City!
The Korea Visa Application Center (KVAC) is a new facility that aids in the processing of visa applications for the approval of the Korean Embassy and consulate with the aim of making it much easier for Filipinos to submit their requirements compared to before, where a scheduled appointment with the Korean Embassy or the help of accredited travel agencies was needed.
Here’s everything you need to know about KVAC and submitting your Korean visa application through them:
1. Operating Hours
KVAC is open from Monday to Friday except on Philippine Holidays and Korea consulate holidays from 9 AM to 5 PM, but the cut-off time for individual applications is 4 PM. Accredited agencies, meanwhile, can come in as early as 8:30 AM until 12 NN. Visa issuance is from 1 PM to 5 PM.
2. Location
KVAC is located on the 9th floor of Brittany Hotel 6 McKinley Parkway, Aura Complex, BGC, Taguig City. You can contact them at +63 2-8248-5440 or kvacph@visaforkorea-mn.com
Do note that only applicants will be allowed in the KVAC, except for those needing special assistance such as minors, persons with disabilities, and senior citizens. Remember to respect your fellow applicants and KVAC personnel and refrain from making loud noises, taking pictures, consuming food, and other similar disruptive behavior.
3. Service Fee
Applicants are required to pay a service fee of PHP 900 per application and only cash will be accepted. The good news is that this is the only fee you will need to pay if you’re only staying in Korea for 59 days or less. Those planning on staying for 60-90 days will need to pay an additional Embassy visa fee which costs PHP 2,000 each. These fees are nonrefundable.
4. They have a Copy/Print Service onsite
If you need to have a document photocopied or printed, you can conveniently do so onsite for a fee of 10 PHP per Page. Only cash payment is accepted.
5. Delivery
After your application has been processed, your passport will be delivered by the WWW Express Mailing Company within 3 to 5 working days for those residing in Metro Manila (delivery fee of PHP 300) and within 5 to 7 working days for those outside Metro Manila (delivery fee of PHP 400).
6. They accept walk-ins
Walk-in applicants are allowed at KVAC as they currently do not accommodate online appointments. You will need to get a queueing number upon arrival and wait your turn.
7. List of designated travel agencies
The Korean Embassy in the Philippines has published a list of designated travel agencies for e-group visas and for visa application filing. These are the following:
