The University of the Philippines Department of Science and Technology Scholars’ Association (UP DOST SA), officially recognized in 1979, is a non-stock, non-profit, socio-academic organization of DOST scholars in the University of the Philippines Diliman. The organization aims to promote science consciousness among the Filipino youth, advance the quality of science education in the Philippines, and make each member aware of the present issues in the society.
In celebration of its founding anniversary, the organization will be conducting a mental health webinar entitled, AKAP (Agapay sa Kalusugang Pangkaisipan): Mental Health and Emotional Well-being During COVID-19 Pandemic, on November 21, 2020 (Saturday), from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, through Zoom.
The webinar aims to:
- impart knowledge about mental health in the time of COVID-19;
- instill awareness and sensitivity within the youth regarding mental health and emotional well-being; and
- help students in addressing mental health issues that affect their well-being especially in this current situation.
