Kids No Longer Allowed Outdoors Due to COVID-19 Delta Variant

The Inter-Agency Task Force or IATF is recalling the resolution of allowing kids outdoors because of the COVID-19 delta variant. According to Department of Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, they are not allowing kids outdoors for now.

“Latest natin diyan ay hindi na muna natin papayagan sa ngayon”, said Duque in an interview with TeleRadyo on July 23. “Dahil nagkaroon na tayt ng Delta variant, nagkaisa ang IATF na i-atras muna ang resolution na ito”, he added.

The announcement was made after the DOH confirmed that they have detected local transmissions of the highly-contagious Delta variant. The IATF resolution 125 are allowing kids aged five (5) and up outdoors in areas under GCQ and MGCQ. The reinstatement of the resolution will be reviewed in the coming weeks.

“Kung akita naman na hindi naman patuloy na tumataas lalo dito sa NCR, baka pwede ibalik tung resolution 125”, he shared.
