The popular girl group KATSEYE recently had a delightful culinary experience during their visit to the Philippines. To welcome them to the country, Chef Godfrey Laforteza (Sophia’s father) shares that the girls were treated to a feast of Filipino dishes expertly curated by renowned chef Maja Laforteza of Passion Cooks and celebrity chef Carla Guevara.

The girls were first introduced to the iconic Filipino dessert, halo-halo. This colorful concoction of shaved ice, sweetened beans, fruits, and milk is a beloved treat among Filipinos.

Chef Maja’s unique twist on the classic dessert, the DIY halo-halo, allowed the girls to customize their own creations, adding their personal touch (touch, touch, touch, touch) to the sweet treat.

For a savory snack, the girls enjoyed crispy shrimp tostadas. These crispy tortillas topped with savory shrimp and fresh vegetables were a perfect light and flavorful option.
