Jurassic World’s Sequel Will be Called “Fallen Kingdom” and We’re Excited!

Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard Jurassic World Will Be a Trilogy, Director Confirms

Fans of the original Jurassic Park (and its successful reboot) will be excited to hear that the sequel to the 2015 Jurassic World now has a title and a poster! The sequel will be called Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and the tagline is quite curious.

The poster has the tagline “Life finds a way,” which sounds innocent enough until you recall that it’s a line Jeff Goldblum utters as Dr. Ian Malcolm, a somewhat crucial role in the first Jurassic Park in 1993. He was a mathematician who makes correct predictions based on chaos theory. Dr. Malcolm was back in the sequel The Lost World: Jurassic Park, but he was noticeably absent in Jurassic Park III and Jurassic World.

It’s been announced that Goldblum will be returning for “Fallen Kingdom,” and he will be joining Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing! We’re also happy to report that B.D. Wong, who portrays the crucial role Dr. Henry Wu, will be back in the sequel.

In terms of storyline, producer Frank Marshall told Slashfilm, “The world has changed a lot since Ian Malcolm went to Jurassic Park and we need his point of view now more than ever.”

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be released on June 22, 2018.
