Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is Showing in the Philippines Earlier to Thank Local Fans

If you’re in your early 30s like me, then the chances that you grew up fascinated by dinosaurs (courtesy of ‘Jurassic Park’) are pretty high. This year, we’re fortunate to once again be graced by these same majestic dinosaurs on the big screen with the next installment of the still-ongoing series, ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’.

And guess what? Things get even better because as a special treat from Universal Pictures, Filipino moviegoers will be able to catch the movie in cinemas nationwide on June 6 – that’s 16 days earlier than most territories around the world, including North America.

This just goes to show how highly Hollywood Studios regards the Philippine market. This early showing of ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ is Manila is Universal Pictures’ way of thanking local fans for their overwhelming support for the first ‘Jurassic World’ three years ago, which still remains to be one of the biggest-grossing films of all time in Philippine history.

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will both be returning for ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ and will take place three years after the resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Now, Isla Nubar sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.

Unfortunately, a dormant volcano on the island starts roaring to life, Owen and Claire start a campaign to save the dinosaurs from extinction. Owen looks for Blue, his lead raptor, as they uncover a conspiracy that could return the entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.

It goes without saying that ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ will once again be filled with wonder, adventure, and thrills, along with the return of favorite characters and, most importantly, dinosaurs!!!
