Jeffree Star isn’t letting ongoing drama in the beauty industry stop him from moving forward with his big plans for his brand.
On Thursday, July 23, Jeffree announced to fans and followers on Twitter that he will be launching his own Jeffree Star Skincare Line and is already making preparations for a “huge product development meeting” for it. He also shared that the skincare line will come out in 2021.
According to trademark details uncovered a few years ago, the skincare line will include “non-medicated skin care preparations, skin care products, apparel and headwear.”

This news comes after a long month filled with controversy after he and his close friend, Shane Dawson, were individually called out for their old YouTube content containing racist behavior and, in the part of Shane, allusions to pedophilia.
Fellow beauty guru Tati Westbrook also shocked everyone with a video exposing the two for “manipulating” her into having the highly publicized feud with former friend James Charles last year (famously called “Dramageddon”).
This also resulted in Morphe Cosmetics, Jeffree Star Cosmetics’ primary brick-and-mortar retailer, to drop their partnership.
Jeffree has posted an apology video on Friday, July 18, titled “Doing What’s Right” wherein he publicly apologized to James and admitted to having done “a lot of self-reflection” in the past weeks to explain his silence. He did not mention Tati by name but did claim that he is considering pursuing legal action.
