When in Manila, PBA superstar James Yap and son Baby James had another bonding moment while doing a pictorial for a PBA coffee table book. This is one of the rare occasions when the cager gets to bond with his kid since having been separated from ex-wife Kris Aquino.
The father-and-son tandem wore matching basketball jerseys for the shoot. “Siyempre masaya talaga. Tingnan mo naman, parehas kami ng outfit. Nakikita mo naman kapag kasama ko siya masaya naman siya,” (Of course, I’m happy. See, we even wore matching outfits. And it’s evident that he’s happy to be with me.)
It doesn’t come as a surprise to know that two-time MVP James Yap wishes his son to follow his footsteps in basketball. But for the meantime, he’s happy to see his son appear in various TV commercials as it helps ease his longing for the child.
It’s great that baby James still gets to spend some time with his father because he deserves it. It’s essential for every child to get to feel loved and care for no matter what the present situation is. In baby James’s case, he still needs some fatherly love even if Kris and James aren’t a couple anymore.
James Yap appears on the coffee table book as one of the past MVPs of the league for the last ten years.
