LOOK: James Reid Joins Phum Viphurit, Vanness Wu, and More Asian Artists in Online Benefit Concert Against Racism

Our very own James Reid is joining a long list of well-loved Asian artists who are coming together to perform in a virtual concert geared towards fighting the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease and, at the same time, battling the racism that Asian communities around the world are currently facing amid the pandemic.

The online concert, titled Identity: Project Blue Marble, is going to be an eight-hour-long stream on Amazon Music’s Twitch channel that will be held on March 30, 2 PM PST (March 31, 5 AM Manila time).

Some of the artists joining Reid are Thai singer-songwriter Phum Viphurit, former F4 member Vanness Wu, record producer and fellow Pinoy Shawn Wasabi, and Malaysian songstress Yuna. There will also be a ton of other special guests, including poet Rupi Kaur, Fast & Furious star Sung Kang, former presidential candidate Andrew Yang, and basketball star Jeremy Lin. Check out the full list below!

Proceeds from the concert will go to United Way, a US non-profit group spearheading “efforts to support those impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak by providing protective gear, food, disinfection and sanitization, and financial support in certain areas.”
