After 10 months of dating, Zac Efron has reportedly split with his Australian girlfriend Vanessa Valladares.

This news was confirmed by Australian radio celebrity Kyle Sandilands who claimed to have spoken with Zac following multiple reports in Australian media that he was trying to get Vanessa to be cast in Netflix Australia’s upcoming “Byron Baes” series, which will follow the lives of “hot Instagrammers” in the Bryon Bay tourist area. The show had sparked protests from residents who believe the show is exploiting and misrepresenting the coastal town.
Speaking on “The Kyle and Jackie O Show” yesterday, April 21, the radio host shared that when he was asking for clarification regarding the issue, Zac had also told him that he and Vanessa were no longer together. “It’s only recent, but not like yesterday recent. But they’ve gone their separate ways,” Kyle said.
“[There was] no drama, but it’s done,” he added. “He’s back to work, they’ve spent a lot of time with each other when he wasn’t working then work comes back and it kicks you straight back into reality. That’s a shame but it’s for sure true.”
Meanwhile, a source had told Daily Mail Australia that the breakup was, in fact, dramatic and the “Bryon Baes” issue contributed to it greatly.
“I’m sure the final nail in the coffin was him seeing the story of her being possibly on ‘Byron Baes’ and the claims that he was helping her get on it,” the source claimed. The source added that Zac had been “very hurt” by the rumors. “He is an absolutely down-to-earth person, not fancy, quite humble,” the source said in his defense.
Zac was said to have met Vanessa last July 2020 while she was working as a waitress. The two were then spotted on occasion vacationing together. They were last photographed together in March 2021.
