Is Lalaine Returning to the “Lizzie McGuire” Reboot? Here’s What Hilary Duff Had to Say

Lizzie McGuire Miranda

One of the shows we’re looking forward to is the reboot of Lizzie McGuire. It’s a show that keeps on giving because we keep getting exciting tidbits about the new series, which is set in the present day.

The latest bit of news is that Adam Lamberg is returning as Gordo, one of Lizzie’s best friends. The question now is, is Lalaine returning to play Miranda, the third member in their barkada?

It’s suspicious that there’s no word on Lalaine’s participation since she plays a big role in the original series.

TMZ tried to get to the bottom of it as they interviewed Hilary in Los Angeles. The publication coyly asked, “Anybody else that you hope would come back?”

Hilary responded with, “I can’t tell you that.”

The revival series follows Lizzie as she turns 30 years old in New York. She has her dream job as an assistant to a decorator, a boyfriend, and a Brooklyn apartment, but not everything is as it seems.

She will be joined by the original show’s cast, including Hallie Todd, Robert Carradine, and Jake Thomas. Guess what? The animated Lizzie version will be back but she’ll still be 13 years old!

Lizzie McGuire ran from 2001 to 2004 and followed the titular character, portrayed by Duff, as she navigated teenage life. The show is also known for sequences featuring an animated version of Lizzie. In 2003, it was adapted into a film starring all the actors in the series.

The show will be on the streaming platform Disney+ but there’s no word when it will air.
