Is a Percy Jackson TV Reboot Finally Happening?

Is well-loved book series Percy Jackson finally getting the reboot it deserves?

According to We Got This Covered, there are rumors that Percy Jackson is going back onscreen as a television series. The most important part? It’s going to be much more faithful to the novels by Rick Riordan this time.

While the first two movies, which premiered in 2010 and 2013, received commercial success, they were heavily criticized by fans for deviating from the canon story. This was also partly the reason why there wasn’t any clamor for more movies to succeed “Sea of Monsters.”

But fans will now be pleased to know that their prayers may finally be answered with this possible reboot!

We Got This Covered’s sources also claim that each season will tackle one book each, making it a potential five-season project. It will also allegedly be aired on Disney Plus so you can expect newer and younger actors to star in this series.

Rick Riordan has yet to confirm this news, but he did say in a tweet that he is “trying hard to convince the powers-that-be that this needs to happen for you, the fans.”

So let’s keep hoping that this does come true!
