Julia Barretto is celebrating her 23rd birthday today, March 10, and is welcoming this new chapter of her life with a new mantra.
On Instagram, she shared a quick motivational speech about how she is taking ownership of her life to do what she wants to do without fear of judgment and prejudice from everyone around her.

“In this chapter in my life, I am FREE. Free to speak. Free to act. Free to feel. Free to love. Because this time, I am choosing ME,” she wrote.
Julia has been the subject of criticism towards the latter half of 2019 ever since she broke up with former love team partner Joshua Garcia and, soon after, found herself involved in the breakup controversy between Kapamilya actors Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo. She is also currently facing the ire of her two aunts Gretchen and Claudine Barretto whose feud with Julia’s mother Marjorie has yet to be resolved. She has also made headlines for allegedly unfollowing certain actors and actresses on Instagram, including Joshua and his new loveteam partner Janella Salvador.
