Whoever thought that the revival series “How I Met Your Father” was ending in just one season is not going to believe the news that just dropped: it’s officially getting renewed for a season 2!
According to TVLine, streaming service Hulu just ordered—wait for it—20 whopping episodes in total for the new season, double the number of the first.

“[Series creators] Isaac [Aptaker] and Elizabeth [Berger]’s inspired vision for “How I Met Your Father” has proven to be true appointment viewing that fans cannot get enough of week to week,” Jordan Helman, Head of Scripted Content at Hulu Originals, said in a statement.
“The lives of these characters, as portrayed by the immensely talented cast led by Hilary Duff, are just starting to unfold and we’re thrilled to bring more of this group’s journey to our viewers with a supersized second season.”
“How I Met Your Father” is a more modern rendition of the well-loved “How I Met Your Mother” series which follows Sophie (played by Duff) and her close-knit friends in the year 2022, figuring out what they want to do in their lives and how to pursue love in the age of dating apps and endless possibilities. It also stars Chris Lowell, Francia Raisa, Tom Ainsley, Tien Tran, and Suraj Sharma.

New episodes of “How I Met Your Father” premieres every Tuesday and will end on March 15, 2022.
