The Pakistani chai wala (tea seller) that was photographed by Islamabad-based photographer, Javeria Ali after the photo made its rounds online.
And now, the chai wala, 18-year-old Arshad Khan was able to book his first modelling gig!
Days after he captured the online hearts of fans worldwide, shopping website fitin.pk wasted no time in signing him as their model.
On the website, the cover photo reads: “Chai wala… is no more (sic) chai wala, now he is Fashion Wala”.
A Pakistani-based newspaper, Pakistani Express, tracked the young chai wala down at his usual spot. When asked if he is aware of his fame, he said that he was aware and was very happy about it, and his friends have been showing him pictures.
