After wining three games already, a lot were expecting Alaska to nab another win, and along with it, the PBA cup.
But the Beermen proved them wrong.
Winning a crucial overtime battle, 110-104, the Beermen halted the Aces from grabbing a clean sweep at the PBA cup, something the Aces have been looking forward to after falling short in the previous seasons.
After chasing Alaska most of the game, San Miguel finally came alive in the fourth quarter, going on a 9-0 run to go up 96-93 before Calvin Abueva broke Alaska’s silence with a layup.
San Miguel was up 98-95 with 4.5 seconds left, but Cyrus Baguio hit a 3 pointer to send the game to overtime. In the Overtime Alaska scored the first 4 points before San Miguel again went on a 8-2 run to push the Aces back. More game highlights below:
