The teaser trailer has also been released. Watch it below:
The series is set during Wednesday’s years at Nevermore Academy and has been described as a “sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery.” According to Deadline, the show highlights “Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”
The Addams will be joined by Gwendoline Christie, Hunter Doohan, Percy Hynes White, Joy Sunday, Emma Myers, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Georgie Farmer, Naomi Ogawa, and Moosa Mostafa.
An interesting addition to the cast is Christina Ricci, who famously played Wednesday in The Addams Family and The Addams Family Values in 1991 and 1993.
Ricci is still remembered for her role that when it was announced that Netflix would be doing a show focusing on the character, fans started a petition for her to be cast in the show. The actress will be playing an undisclosed role on Wednesday.
Wednesday is directed by Tim Burton. There is no release date yet.
