Of course, my review wouldn’t be complete without the alcohol. :p
If you love alcohol as much as I do, then you are sure to love these out-of-this world concoctions at Hatch 22:
Port Sangaree
If you’re feeling adventurous, then try the Port Sangaree. I’ll admit that the taste can be quite overwhelming at first and it was hard for me to figure out whether I actually liked the taste of it or not. But, at the end of the day, I just kept sipping and sipping and the taste slowly grew on me. Why was it so hard to get used to it? Coz it’s a champoy-based drink! Sounds strange, but it works!
Hatch & Balls
The Hatch & Balls was by far my favorite drink at Hatch 22, though. Aside from being pretty and cool to look at (read: Instagrammable!), it was also downright delicious.
The catch? The ball is made of ice – and it melts… pretty fast. Well, faster than I could drink it at the time coz I already had had two other drinks before that (no mini-versions for the alcohol – woohoo!) If the glass overflows, though – no need to worry because the friendly and observant waiters will be at your side to rescue you before it spills!
As for the actual bread from the Hatch 22 bakery, they definitely didn’t disappoint in the end, either. We were able to take some home and share some with our families and mine devoured all of the bread like there was no tomorrow (which there wasn’t for those yummy delicacies).
As you can see, Hatch 22 has something to offer anybody with its proper bakery, cafe, and a bar. So, whether you are just starting your day when in Manila or are already ending it, drop by Hatch 22 and enjoy an all-day dining experience anytime of the day!
