Happy not Hungry: a Charity Outreach for Kids of AlwaysHungry.ph and U! Happy Events

The five-month siege in war-torn Marawi has completely ended but the effects of this unfortunate conflict are far from over. The destruction has left thousands of families displaced as well as lost lives and injury from our soldiers, our heroes. Data shows 165 died and more than 1,500 of our army suffered major physical and emotional trauma.

We are here to create a positive noise of help and we hope this project initiative will continue to stir support from our country.

U! Happy Events is a non-government, non-profit organization providing support and teaching values to marginalized children in Metro Manila. Founded in 2006, we organize creative and meaningful outreach events for individuals and companies benefiting more than 100 Non-Government Organizations (NGOs). To date, we have successfully put together 1,150 events.

On May 19, 2018, at V. Luna Medical Center, we will be having our biggest event this year entitled “Happy not Hungry” in partnership with blog platform, AlwaysHungry.ph. This will bring together 100 selected children from Kids of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers who fought in Marawi and 150 Volunteers consisting of media (bloggers and traditional) and other friends. The program will be a cook-off ala junior Master Chef, insightful talk on balance diet, and other engaging activities centered on food.

U! Happy Events and AlwaysHungry.ph are both owned and managed by businessman Mr. Harvard Uy de Baron. He is also a restaurateur, President and Marketing Director of The Menu Group, Inc. which handles brands Sobremesa, Sangkap, Ryu Ramen & Curry, Hungry Samurai, Food Village and Tower Café.

Join us for our biggest event this year on May 19, 2018, 11 AM at AFP Medical Center as we reach out to 100 Children of Marawi Soldiers. To volunteer, simply pledge Php 300. Message us at 0917 5488080 or PM us for confirmations! Please SHARE. Thank U! :) #uhappyevents
