Viewers, audience, and hosts of noontime show Eat Bulaga! had been shaken to the core after an openly gay couple share a split-second kiss while on-air.

The couple, Jhon Patrick Driz and Paul Cervantes, were together during the show’s general knowledge quiz segment called Boom! where contestant Boobsie had to guess whether Jhon Patrick was gay or not. According to Jhon Patrick, they had met at a derm clinic and have been together for one year and three months.
“Simula college po ako, medyo playboy po ako,” he tells host Vic Sotto. “Parang di ko alam kung ano yung hinahanap ko sa isang babae. Tapos ‘yun pala sa kanya ko matatagpunan.”
When asked to give a message to each other, Jhon Patrick tells his partner, “Paul, mahal na mahal kita. Salamat sa lahat. I love you.”
Paul responded by saying, “Thank you rin sa lahat, sobra. Alam mo naman, ikaw yung the best boyfriend para sa akin. I love you more.”
They then shared a kiss which surprised and delighted everyone at the studio.
Many netizens took to social media to talk about the onscreen gay kiss with the hashtag #LoveWins.
