Month 1:
So far, my first month living with braces was relatively painless. As I mentioned previously, I had metal braces when I was younger and I expected the same kind of pain. Surprisingly, I almost never got cuts or sores with the Fashion Smile Sapphire braces. I, of course, attributed this to just being older and stronger but, as Dr. Shideh pointed out after a visit, this was because the Sapphire braces had softer and less sharp edges. Adjustment eating with the braces on was only confined to being weirded out about the braces being there but it never really entailed much pain.
At the end of September, I went back to Fashion Smile for my first adjustment. This is what went down:
