The enhanced community quarantine has a lot of people working from home and trying to make ends meet still. And while many of us are blessed with that opportunity, we still have others who aren’t as fortunate to share the same set-up. Our front liners still have to brave being outside and possibly being infected by the virus.
One, in particular, asks us to think of them, too, as they still have to do their rounds around cities in order to keep things orderly and clean. Garbage collectors are often overlooked, even without the quarantine, and it’s time we recognize them for the heroes they are, too.
In a Facebook post made by Juan Balaguer, he makes a simple request of asking all of us to consider them as front liners, too. And we whole-heartedly agree. They’re definitely heroes in their own right. More power to you, kuya! Mag-ingat kayo!
