After Hidilyn Diaz’ epic win at the Olympics, fans ramp up campaign to help Michael Martinez in the upcoming 2022 Winter Olympics.
In April, Martinez took to his social media account to ask for help through his GoFundMe or Gcash.
In his post, he asked for financial help for his road to 2022 Winter Olympics. “My team and I have organized a fundraising campaign called MICHAEL MARTINEZ – Road to 2022 Winter Olympics to help out with some of the training expenses for the reason that I currently don’t have sponsors yet,” he said.
“So I am humbly reaching out to you to join me on my journey towards the 2022 Winter Olympics and bring recognition once again to the Philippines,” he added.
Since Hidilyn Diaz’ Gold win at the Tokyo Olympics, many fans want the same fortune for Michael Martinez.
In Michael’s GoFundMe, their target is to raise $50,000 and they only raised $12,000 so far. Many fans also commented their gcash transfer screenshots to help Michael.
As of writing, both GoFundMe and Gcash fund raising is still active.
