The Mu Sigma Phi Sorority has long since upheld the four pillars of Sisterhood, Service, Scholarship and Leadership. As part of their Scholarship pillar, and in line with the Sorority’s commitment to the search for knowledge, the Sorority holds an annual pre-medical quiz show entitled Excellence, Knowledge, Genius (EKG). A multitude of undergraduate college students are invited to take part in a battle of wits in various pre-medical subjects. Teams of three members each representing various departments, colleges and organizations face off in the Buenafe Auditorium of the UP College of Medicine, in the hopes of winning the grand prize of Php 5,000. There they will enter into the elimination round, where only the top five teams will emerge to compete in the final round. The final round is a fast-paced jeopardy-style buzzer game.
On March 29, 2016, EKG returns with more than 25 teams from 8 different schools ready to fight for the top prize.
