With a new decade comes another renowned Ergonomics Convention that envisions a more inclusive future for the Philippines. Brought to you by the UP Industrial Engineering Club (UP IE Club), ErgoCon 2020: Envisioning Possibilities will be held on February 1, 2020, Saturday, at the University of the Philippines Diliman, School of Statistics.
ErgoCon 2020 invites aspiring high school and college students to take part in envisioning possibilities for a more inclusive and accessible future for the community. This will be achieved through an interactive workshop as well as a series of lectures, with Ergonomics and Human Factors concepts and applications being the center of discourse. Participants will be given the opportunity to develop inclusive designs — solutions that would allow people with disabilities to become part of the inclusive community that we hope to achieve.
Hosted by renowned Ergonomics experts, the four (4) lectures will focus on Safety Management, Architecture and Sustainable Design, Assistive Technology, and Inclusive Design. ErgoCon 2020 will also bring a new and exciting opportunity to the table as it hosts its first-ever Ergonomics research competition in partnership with a chosen community. Participants will be given the chance to bring their ideas to life as they provide feasible solutions aligned with the convention’s vision of creating a more inclusive community.
