Over a year ago, Suicide Squad hit the theaters. It got mixed reviews from moviegoers but most of those who liked it were into it because of Harley Quinn.
Still, whether you love it or hate it, we all know that it isn’t the end for the Suicide Squad franchise. We’ll be seeing more of them in the future for sure. What is more apparent is that our beloved Harley Quinn and The Joker might get their own spinoff movie soon.
Warner Bros. is working on the said spinoff, which will highlight the two’s relationship.
Margot Robbie and Jared Leto will reprise their roles as Harley Quinn and The Joker, respectively.
There are also rumors that This Is Us directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa are in negotiation for the project.
There are no details on what the movie is about but the plot is pointing towards a “criminal love story”.
Not everyone may have been amused by Suicide Squad but still, it grossed $745 million at the box office.
Hence, it is quite expected that a spinoff of the popular casts come out soon.
