Earth Hour 2016 is on March 19: Let’s All Do Our Part!

It is that time of the year again when we are all asked to turn off the lights for an hour. 🙂

As with every other year for the past decade, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is kicking off the Earth Hour this year where everyone is asked to switch off their lights for 60 minutes to deliver a call for decisive climate change solutions. This year, Earth Hour will be happening on March 19 from 8:30pm to 9:30pm.

Hundreds of countries all over the world take part in this global event, where even iconic landmarks turn off their lights for it. The Philippines has been taking part in Earth Hour since 2008 and has even been called “Earth Hour Hero Country” for topping the participation records from 2009 to 2013. Let’s top that record again this year, shall we?

Please take note that this will only take an hour of your time. Besides, it’s fun to try and come up with things to do in the dark for an hour – the best part being the chance to really bond with family and friends over card games or board games.

What will you be doing during Earth Hour this year? 🙂
