Young Communicator’s Guild, the official radio organization of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines-College of Communication, will conduct an annual media symposium dubbed as PUP Radio Conference 2017 with the theme: “Ignite Me: The Art of Radio Broadcasting in Social Media Era.” The event will be held on January 27, 2017 from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm at the PUP COC Theater.
The conference symbolizes the evolution of radio to maintain its content relevance and impact to the “Social Media Era” or the so called millennial where technology is on its crest.
PUP Radio Conference was conceptualized to produce highly-caliber students and future broadcast professionals by providing an experiential and comprehensive learning experience from the resource speakers. It also aims to inspire over 500 students coming from different universities in Metro Manila and introduce broadcasting to them as an art and as a profession as well.
The speakers in the said conference are from various established televisions and radio stations in the Metro, including Mr. Roster Evangelista of IFm 93.9, Adrian Marco of DZMM 630, Tere Gonzales of DZIQ Radio Inquirer, Zhander Cayabyab of DZMM, Luisito Santos of DZBB, Pocholo Gonzales of CreatiVoices Productions, and Papa Jack.
Participants are required to pay P150.00 upon registration. The proceeds of the project shall be used to arepository of plaques, trophies and other property of DZMC-YCG, maintenance of the equipment of DZMC Radio Booth, and fund Young Communicators’ Guild staff development.
