“Don’t Give Your All”: Nadine Lustre and Yassi Pressman Give Love Advice to Young Girls

Last week, we got to personally interview Mind You investors Nadine Lustre and Yassi Pressman. One of the questions we asked them was how supportive their significant others are when it comes to their mental health. To this, both answered “very” and continued on to elaborate.

Nadine shared how she is not afraid of crying in front of her boyfriend Chris. “He always gives me words of encouragement. Aside from that, he helps me with all of my other advocacies,” she said. Yassi, on the other hand, talked about her boyfriend Jon saying, “he grounds me and reminds me of my self-worth even when I doubt it sometimes.”

Then, Yassi emphasized how important it is that your partner listens to you, “considers your feelings, and just accepts them.” Of course, we took the opportunity to ask them for some love advice for young girls. This comes as romantic relationships have been reportedly found to impact mental health during adolescence. Yassi quickly responded, “choose your battles lang. That’s it.”

Meanwhile, Nadine said “Don’t look for it. ‘Wag mong habulin kasi the more you chase it, the more it’s not gonna come to you.” She also adds, “Don’t give your all din kasi nga if your cup is half empty, you shouldn’t give everything away. Dapat puno ka muna before you share.” Finally, she quoted drag queen RuPaul: “If you can’t love yourself, how the hell are you gonna love somebody else? Can I get an ‘amen’ up in here?” Watch the full interview below:

Nadine Lustre and Yassi Pressman also invited everyone to attend the National Mental Health Summit 2022 on October 25 to 26 at the SM Aura Samsung Hall.
