On Instagram, the 90.7 Love Radio DJ opened up about her condition by sharing a video in which she detailed her diagnosis on her radio show. She revealed that she took the news calmly, noting that the medical expert told her thyroid cancer is often referred to as the “friendliest” cancer.
“So… I just found out I have thyroid cancer. And surprisingly, I am calm. But before you panic, ayon sa mga eksperto (according to the experts), thyroid cancer is often called the “friendliest” cancer. And that’s good, because I’ve already been through worse,” she said in the caption.
“I’ve faced battles that broke me, seasons that nearly crushed me. But here I am still standing, still smiling, still kumikinang (shining). I’ve survived storms that could’ve drowned me and this is just another wave I know I can ride, with God beside me,” she continued.

Nicole expressed her strong faith, saying she is fully trusting God through this difficult time, adding, “This diagnosis wasn’t part of my plan, but it’s part of God’s. And I know He’s walked with me through deeper valleys before, so I trust He’ll walk me through this too.”
She ended her post on an empowering note, holding on to faith and strength, and believing that she will overcome this challenge.
“Thyroid cancer. You’re just another name and I have faith in the One who’s above all names. So let’s do this, thyroid cancer. You picked the wrong girl,” she concluded.
According to Mayo Clinic, thyroid cancer is a growth of cells that starts in the thyroid. While it might not cause any symptoms at first, as it grows, it can lead to signs such as swelling in your neck, voice changes, and difficulty swallowing.
