Dingdong Dantes recently celebrated his son Sixto’s fourth birthday with a surprise gift that left his little one overjoyed. Dingdong took to social media to share the moment with his fans and followers, revealing that he gifted his son with a special Pinocchio wooden sculpture. “Celebrating Sixto’s 4th birthday with a special surprise – Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio,” he wrote.
The sculpture–crafted by the talented sculptor Charming Baldemor using old ipil wood–”has quickly become one of his favorites,” according to Dantes. He added, “Just like how I watched Superman 2 countless times in the 80s, Sixto has seen this movie about 20 times already!”
The actor also reflected on how stories and characters like Pinocchio can shape a child. “It’s amazing how stories and characters like Pinocchio are timeless and carry valuable lessons,” he said. “Here’s to a birthday filled with imagination, wonder, and lots of playtimes with this special gift!”

As of writing, his social media post has gained a lot of attention with fans and fellow celebrities like Ryan Agoncillo, Jackie Lou Blanco, and Julius Babao congratulating Sixto on his special day! Some even praised Dingdong’s thoughtful gift and appreciated the significance of wooden toys in promoting sustainability and encouraging children to use their creativity and imagination.
Sixto’s mother Marian Rivera, on the other hand, greeted the celebrant with a short but sweet post. “Love you Six,” she captioned with the hashtag “Feliz Cumpleaños Mi Hijo”.
