After a controversial exit from the UST Growling Tigers basketball team, team captain CJ Cansino has chosen to don the maroon as he transfers to the University of the Philippines men’s basketball team. He said to several media sources, including Rappler, that if he could stay with the UST team, he definitely would and that he will give just as much heart as he did with UST to his new school.
Cansino was allegedly let go of the team after leaving their training “bubble” in Sorsogon with Coach Ayo.
Once it was announced that he had left the team, many players began to court him in their own ways, enticing him to come to their school instead. Tweeting him about their schools or trying to coax him to join their basketball teams, cute exchanges ensued to convince the former King Tiger.
Bro, the doors are always open 😬 @cjcansino No where to go but??
