Ripert made the announcement on his social media, calling on fans and followers of the late chef to “celebrate the Life, Legacy & Birthday of our Dear Friend Anthony.”

He also asked everyone to post and share their tributes and memories of Bourdain using the official hashtag, #BourdainDay.

“Let’s celebrate his life,” Andres added at the end of the video, before making a toast to Bourdain.

Bourdain is beloved by family and friends for his off-the-beaten-track food excursions around the world. His stint in television hosting began with Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations which aired in the Travel Channel in 2005. He then premiered his award-winning CNN series Parts Unknown in 2014.
