Celine Dion may have stolen our hearts with her remarkable voice and her amazing music, but she is set to impress us even more with her new role in an upcoming romantic drama film!
Starring alongside Outlander’s Sam Heughan and Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, Dion will presumably be playing as herself in Text For You (working title), an adaptation of the 2016 German movie of the same name, based on the novel by Sofie Cramer, where two characters find comfort and inspiration in her music as they try to overcome heartbreak.
The story follows a young woman grieving the death of her fiance by sending romantic text messages to his cellphone, without realizing that his number has already been reassigned to another man, who is also recovering from a similar loss.
No release date has been revealed.

This won’t be the diva’s first foray into acting. It was in 1991 when she starred in the Radio-Canada miniseries Des fleurs sur la neige as lead character Élisa Trudel, a young girl growing up in an abusive home. She also made a brief appearance in 2014’s Muppets Most Wanted to perform a stunning duet with Miss Piggy.
