Calling all media enthusiasts! TOMCAT – UST, a premier events management and media production organization in the University of Santo Tomas will be having its annual event, M.A.X Special 2021 with a theme, Towards the New Paradigm. The event will happen on May 7, 2021 at 5:00PM, via Facebook live.
What is M.A.X?
M.A.X that stands for Media as Authors of eXperience is a TOMCAT – UST initiated event that was first launched in 2018. The event has remained substantial through the years, as it flourished through in-depth themes, covering interesting topics in different sorts of media fields. M.A.X is known for having notable media personalities as its speakers in M.A.X Congress 2018 and 2019, including Alex Gonzaga, ANGKAS, Issa Pressman, David Guison, and more.
This year’s 3rd installation of M.A.X is a “Special” for it will be held virtually for the first time, highlighting the shift of media, from the normal setting, to the current setup. With the drastic changes the new normal has caused, the media industry still aims to thrive. This year’s resource speakers will be ABSCBN’s prominent, multi-awarded journalist, Jeff Canoy, A story-teller, vlogger, and inspirational speaker, Nate Punzalan, and an award-winning film director, producer, and cinematographer, Dan Villegas. The speakers will put an emphasis to their experiences, talk about optimizing media, and many more. The series of discourse will adhere to its theme, Towards the New Paradigm, which is about moving forward and progress.
M.A.X Special: Towards the New Paradigm aims to promote media literacy and inspire media enthusiasts through its event that enlightens its audience. It is not just for those who intend to pursue media as an expertise, but also for those who merely enjoy media as practice.
