Since 1983, ARKAIRA has served as the only performing arts organization of the UP College of Architecture (UPCA). The organization is a haven for creative minds to explore and refine their skills in not only the visual arts, but also in music, dance and theater.

UP ARKAIRA will once again celebrate its founding through an annual week-long celebration called Carovana, an Arts and Food Festival. It will feature live performances from local bands, live art, and talks about art and creativity. This year, it will take place from February 21 to 24, 2017. Within those days, ARKAIRA will hold the following activities:

Afternoon Acoustics will be a mix of live art and musical performances to launch Carovana (Feb 21) that creates opportunities for UP Arkaira’s artists showcase our homegrown talent.

The Applicant’s Concert is performance night (Feb 22) forARKAIRA applicants to show their skills and progress throughout the application process.

Art Day is a mini artist’s conference (Feb. 23) that will allow different creative professionals, in the fields of music and arts to share their stories. It will also be a venue for live art where people can watch visual artists create in real time.

The Aftershow is the culminating event (Feb 24) that features performances by the members of ARKAIRA and other local bands and artists such as Oh! Flamingo, Sound Architects, Extrapolation, Over October and Bea Lorenzo..
